The meaning or difference in name Terminal, Central and Junction of India Railway station

काही विशेष रेल्वे स्थानकांवर टर्मिनल, जंक्शन आणि सेंट्रल असं का लिहिलं जातं?; त्यांच्यात काय फरक आहे? Courtesy: Lokmat टर्मिनल आणि टर्मिनस(Terminal/Terminus) या शब्दांमध्ये फरक नाही. दोन्हीचा अर्थ एकच आहे. रेल्वे टर्मिनल म्हणजे "अखेरचं स्थानक" जिथून गाड्या पुढे जात नाहीत. सोप्या भाषेत सांगायचे तर ते ट्रेनच्या मार्गावरील शेवटचे स्टेशन आहे. येथून ट्रेन एकतर परतात किंवा प्रवास संपवतात. टर्मिनल हा शब्द टर्मिनेशनपासून बनला आहे. ज्याचा अर्थ संपणे असा आहे. जंक्शन ? आता जंक्शनबद्दल सांगायचं झालं तर अनेक महत्त्वाच्या रेल्वे स्थानकांवर जंक्शन लिहिलेले तुम्ही पाहिले असेलच. जर तुम्हाला कोणत्याही स्थानकावर कुठेही जंक्शन लिहिलेले दिसले, तर समजायचं की येथून दोनपेक्षा जास्त रेल्वे मार्ग निघत आहेत. सोप्या भाषेत सांगायचे तर, एका जंक्शनमध्ये ट्रेनसाठी किमान तीन मार्ग असतात, ट्रेन येते आणि तिला कोणत्या मार्गाने जायचे याचे दोन पर्याय उपलब्ध असतात. अशा परिस्थितीत ट्रेन त्यानुसार आपला मार्ग निवडू शकते. त्यात कल्याण जंक्शनचा समावेश होतो. रेल्वे सेंट्रल म्हणजे काय? त्याच वेळी, जर तुम्हाला कोणत्याही र...
